Ok this one pdp-8 has a couple broken switches, but the others (8e's and 8i's) are fine.
BSL disk-ram unit. Connected to a pdp-8i, it gave the user about 780K of additional 'memory' through the use of a single platter with multiple fixed heads.
today's opinions notwithstanding, it was very advanced for its time and much cheaper than the same amount of core memory.
